EMVCo Certifies IBA
On March 2, 2010, IBA received a notification of EMVCo on the official completion of the type approval testing of the IBA bankcard software that contains IBA EMV Kernel 1.0. Therefore, IBA became the first IT company in Belarus to certify to EMV™ Specifications, a global standard for credit and debit payment cards based on chip card technology.
In its Letter of Approval, EMVCo that is currently owned by American Express, JCB, MasterCard, and Visa, confirms that the products coming with IBA EMV Kernel 1.0 comply with EMV™ Specifications. The certification serves as a guarantee of the high quality of the banking software products developed by IBA and entitles IBA to bid for third–party acquiring projects.
