Export Oriented Programming: Staff Training Issues
On April 11, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) organized the conference named "Export Oriented Programming: Staff Training Issues." The event focused on the creation of a national IT training center to increase the number of qualified personnel, improve their professional level, and position Belarus as one of Eastern European offshore IT centers.
Among the participants were top managers of leading Belarusian IT companies such as IBA, EPAM Systems, Belhard Group, and Sakrament, as well as representatives of higher educational institutions (Belarusian State University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, and International School of Business and Technology Management of the Belarusian State University).
Participants in the conference agreed that the national training center should be created by joint efforts because IT companies know what specialists are required and have financial resources, while universities have skilled teachers and the needed theoretical and methodological base.
