Belarusian IT Industry Renaissance
On October 13, 2006 Economicheskaya gazeta (Economic Newspaper), the oldest economic periodical in Belarus published an article entitled “Industry Renaissance”. In the article, the author makes a survey of the current state of Belarusian IT sector. Executives of large–scale IT enterprises, members of the Belarusian Association of IT Developers Infopark, express their views on the issue.
Sergei Levteev, IBA CEO, says: “…At present, the volume of products, solutions and services supplied by IBA at the domestic market makes only 10–12% of the total produced by our company. Nevertheless, we regard Belarusian and CIS markets as very important and prospective. We are happy that local customers appreciate advantages of working with the experts who deliver world–class products and at the same time, know peculiarities of the market and talk the same language with the customer”.
