Seminar on SAP Solutions
On September 15, IBA jointly with SAP AG, concern Belneftekhim, and JSC Belgorkhimprom conducted a seminar entitled "SAP Solutions for Enterprises of Petrochemical and Mining Industries".
Sergei Levteev, IBA CEO, spoke about the IBA cooperation with enterprises of petrochemical industry.
SAP representatives presented SAP AG and provided an overview of industry solutions and successful projects for enterprises of petrochemical and mining industries. Detailed reports were devoted to financial consolidation and budgeting tools, production and sales planning and management, and information security in SAP.
Participants in the seminar showed special interest in the presentation by Mozyrski NPZ. Representatives of this Belarusian refinery plant shared their experience of SAP implementation, as well as spoke about the keys to project success and company benefits from SAP introduction. Mozyrski NPZ specialists expressed the view that the price, duration, and successful completion of the project mostly depend not on a selected system or consultant, but on the enterprise itself, namely the willingness of the chief executive to introduce an ERP system; enterprise infrastructure; personnel qualification; and work of the IT department.
To date, the first stage of SAP implementation was completed, which had essential effect on the operation of logistic and accounting departments of Mozyrski NPZ. Transparent, reliable, and centralized information provided the plant management with an effective instrument to analyze the company's economic activity. In addition, the ERP introduction positively influenced the end users, who became aware of their role in the company management process. Mozyrski NPZ proceeds with the SAP implementation in the areas of budget, finance, and economic management.
