IBA Group participates in Russian Software & Outsourcing Summit
From June 15 to June 18, IBA Group participated in the fifth Russian Outsourcing & Software Summit (ROSS 2005) that was held in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Summit was organized by the RUSSOFT Association with support from the Administration of St. Petersburg and the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation. In addition, IBA Group became a participant of the Swedish-Russian IT Forum that was organized by Russoft jointly with the Swedish Trade Council and was held in St. Petersburg from June 14 to June 16. Prior to the event, ROSS participants were received by May Andersson, General Consul of Sweden for St. Petersburg. Nore Kamoun, Trade Commissioner to Russia, led the Swedish delegation at the Forum.
ROSS 2005 opened with the plenary session. Representatives of RUSSOFT and the Russian Government greeted the visitors and guests. Valentin Kazan, IBA Vice President, spoke on behalf of IBA Group that was a Silver sponsor of the Summit. Harris Miller, President of World Information Technology & Service Alliance, as well as world-known analysts shared their views on the global IT development.
The program of the Russia Software Summit included an exhibition, a conference, as well as roundtable discussions, and matchmaking and networking events. On June 17, IBA Group moderated the panel discussion entitled "Best Practices of IT Outsourcing and Software Development".
