Training Center

Founded on May 6, 2002, the IBA Training Center offers training in information technologies, business, and foreign languages to IBA employees, as well as other companies and individuals. Teachers working in the IBA Training Center are assistant professors, Ph. Ds, and certified trainers.

IT courses at the IBA Training Center cover IBM mainframe and Lotus technologies, Java and C programming languages, operating systems (Linux, Windows, Solaris, Mac OS X, and Novell NetWare), ERP systems (SAP/R3), database software, network technologies, information security, integrated and global information systems, web technologies, Microsoft Office applications, computer graphics, and computer technical support.

Business training features project management, business communication, marketing, personal efficiency (negotiation, stress management, time management, and public appearance skills), business process reengineering, and methods for finding new ideas and solutions. Foreign language courses comprise English, German, French, and Chinese.

Annually, roughly 25 percent of IBA employees receive training in programming, marketing or computer and banking equipment at the IBA Training Center.

The IBA Training Center has long-term ties with leading Belarusian higher educational institutions. It invites university professors to teach computer science to IBA employees, while IBA trainers lecture university students in IT subjects. Since 2004, the IBA Training Center has been sponsoring the Belarusian national contest in informatics among students of colleges, vocational schools, and special technical institutions. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus has sent a letter to thank the IBA Training Center for contribution in the development of the national educational system.

The IBA Training Center is the Center of Authorized Education. That means that clients are able to receive knowledge and skills at first hand and to obtain industry recognized certifications. The curricula are developed by original software manufacturers (OSMs) and the training is conducted by certified instructors who have extensive practical and pedagogical experience. The authorized learning means using the latest software versions, complying with the unified international programs, and preparing a student for certification exams. Therefore, the IBA Training Center provides a full cycle of the best possible education, from authorized training to testing and certification.

Cisco Network Academy and Cisco Learning Partner Associate

Cisco Academy

A regional Cisco Network Academy opened at the IBA Training Center in 2008. As a result, the IBA Training Center was authorized to train and certify IT specialists and teachers, as well as set up local Cisco academies.

Attendees at the Cisco Network Academy are able to take a course in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) CCNA Exploration. Students can acquire skills in building and administering of internet networks, installing and configuring of Cisco switchboards and routers in multi-protocol networks with LANs and WANs, identifying and fixing of bugs, and increasing of network performance and security.

In 2010, the IBA Training Center launched the course within the CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) program.

The Cisco Network Academy program is underway in 165 countries. To date, more than 900,000 students develop ICT skills through the program each year.

Cisco Learning Partner Associate

Since 2010, the IBA Training Center has been also authorized as the Cisco Learning Partner Associate. Thus, the IBA Training Center is entitled to provide so-called “commercial” Cisco courses that imply a 5-day full-time tuition.

To date, the IBA Training Center is the only education provider in Belarus that has been authorized both as Cisco Learning Partner Associate and as Cisco Networking Academy.

 

Oracle-Authorized Center

Oracle Approved Education ProviderIn 2010, Oracle authorized the IBA Training Center to provide education in Oracle technologies. Trainees receive a unique opportunity to undergo training in all the variety of subjects in Java, Solaris, and MySQL. The IBA TC became the first in the CIS to have competences in MySQL. The training is conducted by instructors who have extensive practical and pedagogical experience, and are accredited by Oracle.

In 2010, the IBA Training Center conducted MySQL training for Ukrainian clients and Java courses for a number of clients from Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Russia.

In addition, it is projected that authorized courses in Oracle DBMS will soon be available at the IBA Training Center.

IBM-Authorized Training Center

 

In August 2008, IBM  authorized the IBA Training Center  as its Business Partner in training.

Since then, IBA has successfully conducted authorized courses in System administration in Lotus Domino 7  and IBM WebSphere MQ V6.0. Programming Using Base Classes for Java.

Today, the IBA Training Center conducts hundreds of IBM authorized courses. The training in IBM technologies is conducted by IBM-accredited instructors who have extensive practical and pedagogical experience. Graduates receive manuals produced by IBM, and IBM certificates as well.

Since 2010, IBM has authorized the IBA Training Center to conduct training on Project Management Professional (PMP) program. The IBA Training Center became the fourth center in the CIS that offers the PMP certification and allows professionals for obtaining the credential of Project Management Institute (PMI) in Minsk, Belarus.

The IBM courses are conducted for Belarusian and for foreign clients. In 2011 for instance, the IBA Training Center provided IBM DB2 training for Gazprom.

Since several years, the IBA teachers jointly with IBM EE/A (Moscow) have given a range of courses both in IBM technologies and project management. To appreciate a high quality of IT training services provided by the IBA Training Center, IBM Eastern Europe/Asia (IBM EE/A) sent IBA a letter of thanks.

SAP-Authorized Center

SAP Preferred Training Partner

In May 2009, SAP CIS appointed the IBA Training Center as its Preferred Training Partner. Being the first SAP–authorized training partner in the CIS, IBA is entitled to conduct education in SAP technologies and arrange workshops in cooperation with SAP in the IBA Training Center in Minsk, Belarus.

The first pilot project that SAP CIS launched on May 25, 2009 at the IBA Training Center as a Preferred SAP Training Partner was a virtual seminar (VLC). The regular SAP course components including theory, intercourse with an experienced SAP consultant and practical training are now available on–job for students in Minsk.

On the course completion and examinations or knowledge testing, all successful graduates receive international certificates.

At the annual forum of SAP partners, SAP recognized the IBA Training Center as the Best SAP Training Center 2010 among twenty SAP Training Centers in the CIS.

Apple-Authorized Training Center

Apple Authorized Training CenterIn 2011, the IBA Training Center became the first Apple Authorized Training Center (AATC) in Belarus. Being the AATC enables the IBA Training Center to conduct Apple–authorized training in Mac OS X and Final Cut and Aperture software for professionals.

In autumn 2011, IBA Training Center plans to launch an introduction course in Mac OS X and software suites iLife and iWork, and the courses in Apple professional applications.

Microsoft-Authorized Training Center

Microsoft Gold Certified PartnerIn 2009, the IBA Training Center was assessed to meet the requirements of Microsoft Learning Solutions and thus became the Authorized Microsoft Training Center. In 2010, Microsoft appointed IBA Training Center as Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Today, IBA Training Center offers education in dozens of Microsoft products.

Novell-Authorized Education Center

Novell Authorized Education CenterThe IBA Training Center has been Novell Authorized Education Center since 2003.

For today, the IBA Training Center is appointed as Novell Gold Training Partner.

 

 

 

Symantec-Authorized Training Center

Since 2010, the IBA Training Center has been appointed as a Symantec Authorized Education Partner. Being a Symantec Authorized Training Center entitles the IBA Training Center to deliver Symantec authorized training in Minsk, Belarus.

 

Prometric and Pearson VUE–Authorized Testing Center

In addition, a testing center authorized by Prometric and Pearson VUE, world leaders in technologies for computer testing of skills and knowledge, is functioning at the IBA Training Center. The IBA Training Center is authorized in Prometric iBT and is entitled to conduct internet-based tests including TOEFL and TOEIC. Roughly, over 100 tests are carried out at the center monthly.

The IBA Training Center is considered to be one of the best testing centers in Eastern Europe and was selected #15 Prometric Testing Center in 2009.
