tibo' 2005

From April 5 to April 8, the 12th international ICT exhibition and congress, tibo'2005, was held in Minsk. The Ministry of Communications and Informatization, National Bank of Belarus, State Committee for Science and Technologies, Ministry of Industry, Minsk City Executive Committee, and National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were among tibo'2005 organizers.

The goal of the exhibition was to present cutting edge products in the area of telecommunications, computer hardware and software, and information and banking technologies. Top Belarusian officials attended the opening ceremony. In a welcoming address Ivan Rak, Deputy Minister of Communications of the Republic of Belarus, said that creation of modern information society is a prerequisite to transforming Belarus into an industrially developed and prosperous state.

IBA at Tibo'2005

Belarusian ICT companies including IBA, Beltelecom, System Technologies, Svyazinformservice, Svyazinvest, CosmosTV, Computer Center, Delovaya Set, Compit Technologies, Corporate Systems, Marfi, Belam–M, Galaktika, Professional Network Systems, Belana, Multisoft, Atlant Telecom, BelIIT, Datastream, Radioline, Microlink, Belrossvyaz, Mobile Telesystems, Byprint Service, INELT, MPOVT, Belkontmash, Macroprint, Golden Software, Belkanton, Softline, TKS–MISBOS, Mobitec Group, Saturn–Info, Open Contact, MTIS, and Tusson, as well as world IT market leaders such as Ericsson, Alcatel, Motorola, Siemens, and LG Electronics displayed their latest achievements at the event.

The 12th Belarusian Congress in Telecommunication, Information and Banking Technologies, international scientific conferences, as well as seminars and round table discussions were on the agenda of tibo'2005. Winners in a number of contests were announced, including the 3rd Belarusian Internet Resources Award.
