Institute of IT & Business Administration
The Institute of IT & Business Administration (IBA Institute) was founded on May 6, 2002 in Minsk, Belarus. IBA Institute (former IBA Training Center) offers training in information technologies, business, and foreign languages to IBA employees, as well as other companies and individuals. Teachers working in IBA Institute are assistant professors, Ph. Ds, and certified trainers.
IT courses at IBA Institute cover IBM mainframe and Notes technologies, Java and C programming languages, operating systems (Linux, Windows, Solaris, Mac OS X, and Novell NetWare), ERP systems (SAP), database software, network technologies, information security, integrated and global information systems, web technologies, Microsoft Office applications, computer graphics, and computer technical support.
Business training features project management, business communication, marketing, personal efficiency (negotiation, stress management, time management, and public appearance skills), business process reengineering, and methods for finding new ideas and solutions. Foreign language courses comprise English, German, and French.
Annually, roughly 25 percent of IBA employees receive training in programming, marketing or computer and banking equipment at IBA Institute.
IBA Institute has long-term ties with leading Belarusian higher educational institutions. It invites university professors to teach computer science to IBA employees, while IBA trainers lecture university students in IT subjects. Since 2004, IBA Institute has been sponsoring the Belarusian national contest in informatics among students of colleges, vocational schools, and special technical institutions. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus has sent a letter to thank the IBA Institute (former IBA Training Center) for contribution in the development of the national educational system.
IBA Institute is the Center of Authorized Education. That means that clients are able to receive knowledge and skills at first hand and to obtain industry recognized certifications. The curricula are developed by original software manufacturers (OSMs) and the training is conducted by certified instructors who have extensive practical and pedagogical experience. The authorized learning means using the latest software versions, complying with the unified international programs, and preparing a student for certification exams. Therefore, IBA Institute provides a full cycle of the best possible education, from authorized training to testing and certification. IBA Institute serves clients from different countries of the world, including Czech Republic, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Russia, and Ukraine.
Institute of IT and Business Administration is the only private institute in Belarus that provides professional retraining and qualification development in Software Design of Information Systems. In July 2016, the first class of graduates who successfully passed the exams received the government-recognized diploma in software engineering.
The IBA Institute's project Promotion of IT in Belarus among People with Disabilities was selected the winner and the best of the seven finalists in the category Top CSR initiative of the Year of the 2017 CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards. With the same project, IBA Group was recognized the winner in the category Award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the 2016 GSA Awards organized by the Global Sourcing Association (GSA). In 2015, IBA Institute received the CSR award in the category Best CSR Project: Education conducted by the Idea international fund.
Cisco Network Academy and Cisco Learning Partner
A regional Cisco Network Academy opened at IBA Institute in 2008. As a result, IBA Institute was authorized to train and certify IT specialists and teachers, as well as set up local Cisco academies.
Attendees at the Cisco Network Academy are able to take a course in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) CCNA Exploration. Students can acquire skills in building and administering of internet networks, installing and configuring of Cisco switchboards and routers in multi-protocol networks with LANs and WANs, identifying and fixing of bugs, and increasing of network performance and security.
In 2010, IBA Institute launched the course within the CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) program. The Cisco Network Academy program is underway in 165 countries. To date, more than 900,000 students develop ICT skills through the program each year.
IBA Institute is also authorized as Cisco Learning Partner. Thus, IBA Institute is entitled to provide so-called “commercial” Cisco courses that imply a 5-day full-time tuition.
In 2012, IBA Institute joined Cisco Expo Learning Club (CELC) being the first partner of the education project in Belarus.
To date, IBA Institute is the only education provider in Belarus that has been authorized both as Cisco Learning Partner and as Cisco Networking Academy.
In 2011 and 2013, the Cisco Networking Competition based on the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) curricula was held at IBA Institute.
IBM-Authorized Training Center
In August 2008, IBM authorized IBA Institute as its Business Partner in training.
Since then, IBA Institute has successfully conducted authorized courses in System administration in Lotus Domino 8,9 and IBM WebSphere MQ V7.0,7.5. Programming Using Base Classes for Java.
Since 2010, IBM has authorized IBA Institute to conduct training on Project Management Professional (PMP) program. IBA Institute became the fourth center in the CIS that offers the PMP certification and allows professionals for obtaining the credential of Project Management Institute (PMI) in Minsk, Belarus.
In July 2013, IBM introduced a new approach to its training partner selection and authorized its four global partners as IBM Global Training Providers (GTP). In November 2013, Institute of IT & Business Administration and Global Knowledge, an IBM GTP, signed a partnership agreement. The agreement entitles IBA Institute to provide authorized training courses in all IBM products.
Today, IBA Institute conducts hundreds of IBM-authorized courses. Providing training in IBM technologies, IBA Institute uses the IBM–developed program of the course, teaching aids, and cutting-edge powerful software for laboratory work. The training is conducted by IBM-accredited instructors who have extensive practical and pedagogical experience to prepare students for certification examinations. Graduates receive manuals produced by IBM, and international IBM certificates as well.
The IBM courses are conducted for Belarusian and for foreign clients. Since 2008, IBA Institute jointly with IBM EE/A has provided training both in IBM technologies and project management for numerous clients, including Gazprom and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

In May 2009, SAP CIS appointed IBA Institute as its Preferred Training Partner. Being the first SAP–authorized training partner in the CIS, IBA is entitled to conduct education in SAP technologies and arrange workshops in cooperation with SAP in the IBA Institute in Minsk, Belarus.
The first pilot project that SAP CIS launched on May 25, 2009 at the IBA Institute as a Preferred SAP Training Partner was a virtual seminar (VLC). The regular SAP course components including theory, intercourse with an experienced SAP consultant and practical training are now available on–job for students in Minsk.
On the course completion and examinations or knowledge testing, all successful graduates receive international certificates.
In 2010, SAP recognized IBA Institute as the Best SAP Training Center among twenty SAP Training Centers in the CIS.
In 2012, SAP named IBA Institute as Best SAP Training Center in the CIS.
Apple-Authorized Training Center
In 2011, the IBA Institute became the first Apple Authorized Training Center (AATC) in Belarus. Being the AATC enables the IBA Institute to conduct Apple–authorized training in Mac OS X and Final Cut and Aperture software for professionals.

Microsoft-Authorized Training Center
In 2010, following the assessment to meet the requirements of Microsoft Learning Solutions, IBA Institute was appointed as Microsoft Training Partner and Microsoft authorized training center.
Today, IBA Institute offers education in dozens of Microsoft products and technologies, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft SQL. The courses are developed based on the practical studies of application scenarios for various products and technologies. The training is conducted by highly experienced practitioners certified by Microsoft.
HP-Authorized Training Center
Since 2014, HP has appointed IBA Institute as its Training Partner for VMware products. The courses are conducted by IBA trainers certified by HP and laboratory work is performed using the equipment provided by HP. Following a successful completion of a course, students pass a certification exam.
Red Hat-Authorized Training Center
In 2015, IBA Institute has entered into partnership with RedHat. According to the agreement, IBA Institute is entitled to conduct training courses on the territory of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Currently, IBA Institute offers training in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat JBoss.
Novell-Authorized Education Center
The IBA Institute has been Novell-Authorized Education Center since 2003.
To date, the IBA Institute is appointed as Novell Gold Training Partner.
Castle-Authorized Testing Center
In 2013, the Institute of IT & Business Administration became the first and so far the only testing center authorized for Scrum in the Republic of Belarus by Castle Worldwide. Today, IBA Institute offers certification for Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).
Prometric and Pearson VUE-Authorized Testing Center
In addition, a testing center authorized by Prometric and Pearson VUE, world leaders in technologies for computer testing of skills and knowledge, is functioning at the IBA Institute. The IBA Institute is authorized in Prometric iBT and is entitled to conduct internet-based tests including TOEFL and TOEIC. Roughly, over 100 tests are carried out at the center monthly.
The IBA Institute is considered to be one of the best testing centers in Eastern Europe and was selected #1 Prometric Testing Center in 2009.
