Belarusian Railway Celebrates Millionth E–Passenger 2015
On September 24, IBA Group participated in the greeting of the Belarusian Railway's millionth passenger who bought a travel ticket using online ticket system in 2015. The system was developed by IBA Group jointly with Belarusian Railway and Belarusbank. The ceremony to greet the millionth e–passenger of Belarusian Railway took place at the Gomel railway station before the passenger's trip by train # 83 from Gomel to Mogilev, Belarus.
Representatives of IBA Group, Belarusian Railway, and Belarusbank gave gifts and a certificate to the millionth e–passenger of 2015.
About Online Ticket System of Belarusian Railway
Launched at Belarusian Railway in 2011, the IBA–developed online ticket system enables holders of bank cards to book and buy tickets for Belarusian and international trains via internet. The system makes it possible to view ticket availability, ticket cost, and train timetable online from the Express 3 automated management system on the website of Belarusian Railway. Express 3 of Belarusian Railway serves as a source of information for the online ticket system.
The online ticket system allows for booking of railway tickets and making payments through an internet banking system, and tracking the order implementation. The payments are possible within different payment systems including Visa, MasterCard, and Belarusian Belcard and Raschet (Payment). Online booking and payments are available 24x7.
As soon as the client pays for the train ticket via an internet banking system, he or she receives a 14–digit code of the order. Using the code, the customer can obtain his/her paper ticket at any ticket office of Belarusian Railway or take advantage of an electronic check–in without paper tickets. Using the e–registration service, the boarding is carried out based on the identity documents of the customer.
