Winter 2017 Training Season at Belarusian IT Competence Centers
From December 12 to December 14, IBA Group conducted a workshop on ERP systems, a free training in SAP for teachers of Belarusian universities, including the Belarusian State University (BSU), Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR), Belarusian State Economic University (BSEU), Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU), and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (YKSUG).
At the workshop, the lecturers spoke about new features of modern ERP systems and the SAP ECC in finance, procurement, production, planning, enterprise asset management, human capital management, and enterprise management. Two new courses of the SAP University Alliance, namely SAP S/4 HANA and SAP HANA Cloud Platform, were announced.
In addition, IBA Group delivered a presentation on its projects for Gazprom Transgaz Belarus and Belorusneft. A representative of the Information and Computing Center told about the SAP projects implemented at the Belarusian Railway.
The event finished with a certificates award ceremony.
On December 16, the students of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics successfully completed a training course in Big Data. The training was conducted at the IBA–BSUIR Academic Center of IBM Competences located in Minsk, Belarus and within the IBA Group's CSR Program.
The program is 130 academic hours long and consists of two parts:
• InfoSphere DataStage, IBM DB2, and Data Warehouse solutions for business analysis in various sectors of economy
• Big Data, including file systems, computational models, data processing using different software platforms and approaches (Open Source Hadoop-2 & IBM BigInsights, Open Source Streams & IBM Streams), and software development environments (R, Pig, Hive, Jaql, SPL, and SQL).
On December 20, a training course in multiplatform programming for students of the Belarusian State University was successfully completed. For the third time, IBA Group conducted the training in the IBA–BSU IT Competence Center. Eight highly experienced IBA Group professionals taught with the program.
The basic training course was devoted to various approaches to multiplatform programming, including the development of web-based applications, design of mobile platforms in IBM Mobile First, and working with IBM middleware and server platforms.
Within two additional courses, the students had an opportunity to gain experience of working with Linux OS, learn more about application development on IBM DB2 for z / OS, and to take an advanced course in SQL.
Today, thirteen graduates of the course received job offers from IBA Group.
