IBA Group's SoftPOS Solution Adds Support for JCB Card Payments
IBA Group’s SoftPOS solution continues to expand its list of supported international payment systems. The solution is now certified to accept JCB cards used by more than 160 million cardholders worldwide in addition to other international payment systems already available in the SoftPOS solution.
JCB certification creates additional opportunities for banks to serve international clients and cardholders from Asia and other regions where this payment system is widely used. Support for JCB helps users expand their client base without additional investment in traditional POS terminals.
As part of this update, IBA Group developed and certified a dedicated payment kernel for JCB. The new functionality supports accurate transaction processing, meets security requirements, and ensures stable performance across smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
To date, the IBA Group SoftPOS solution supports a wide range of payment systems, including Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, PURE, and JCB.
About JCB
JCB is an international payment system founded in Japan. Most JCB cardholders are based in Asia and the Asia Pacific region, including Japan, China, South Korea, and Taiwan. The system is also widely used in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
JCB cards are accepted in more than 160 countries and territories and the network continues to expand through partnerships with banks and payment providers globally.
We continue to advance our SoftPOS solution to make it as versatile as possible for banks, acquirers, and their clients. It is important for us that partners can launch projects in different countries without limitations related to payment systems or supported cards. We continue to certify new payment systems and expand the range of payment kernels in our solution so that businesses can accept cards from both local and international issuers and cover more regions and payment scenarios.
