IBA at Devconf.mobi 2011

From April 29 to April 30, IBA participated in the conference for mobile application developers Devconf.mobi 2011.

DevConf.mobi extends the initiatives of the conference “Mobile Technologies: Business and Outlook” that was the only event intended for mobile developers from 2008 to 2010.

The conference was aimed at:

  • Raising awareness of the cutting–edge mobile technologies
  • Promoting communication and knowledge sharing among experts.

The conference gathered more than 100 participants and guests. Representatives of well–known IT companies including Google Technology User Groups, IBA, Kaspersky, Opera, ScienceSoft, UI Modeling Company, Unity attended the event.

Vladimir Gorshunov, engineer of the IBA Department of Internet Technologies, delivered the presentation “Creation of mobile clients for services and legacy systems, or why Africa needs Android?”. In his presentation, Gorshunov examined the process of development and integration of an Android application into banking infrastructure, the application’s porting to BlackBerry, the launch at Samsung Tab, and the problems that may occur when developing mobile applications on different platforms and devices.
