IBA Group Adds QR Payments to Victoriabank Mobile Payment App
IBA Group implemented integration of the MIA Business instant payment system into the VB24 POS application of Victoriabank, one of Moldova’s leading banks. As a result, business clients can accept both NFC contactless payments and MIA QR payments.
The integration of MIA QR payments expands payment acceptance options for merchants and supports compliance with the requirements of the National Bank of Moldova. Customers can pay by scanning a QR code displayed on the merchant’s smartphone using any banking application. Funds are transferred to the merchant’s account instantly with a low transaction fee.
Built on IBA Group’s tapXphone technology, VB24 POS turns a standard Android device into a full-featured payment terminal. The solution eliminates the need for dedicated POS hardware, enables businesses to start accepting payments quickly, and supports multiple payment methods, including contactless cards and QR codes. VB24 POS also serves as a single payment platform that software cash register providers can use without additional integrations.
