IBA Group Launches TapXphone Payment Solution in Kosovo
IBA Group continues to scale the tapXphone payment solution across multiple countries around the globe. Now the customers of Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo can use their smartphones as payment terminals. This is the seventh implementation of tapXphone at Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) Group.
To accept a payment, a customer needs to install the RaiPOS application. RaiPOS is a certified application for contactless card payments via a mobile device based on the tapXphone technology. After activating the application, business operators are able to receive payments for their products or services using Visa or Mastercard payment cards, as well as e-wallets.
We expect that RaiPOS will have a significant impact on our market as it will lead to the expansion of the network of merchants and create additional payment possibilities for the customers. RaiPOS improves customer experience during the payment process and provides faster and easier management of transactions for the merchants, which we believe will get translated into a memorable experience for our clients.
The tapXphone payment solution has a CPoC certificate that confirms the security of the tapXphone solution and contactless transactions made via tapXphone.
The launch of tapXphone will allow Raiffeisen Kosovo to reaffirm the bank’s commitment to implementing innovative solutions that contribute to the digitalization of services.
