IBA Group Automates Fare Collection in Tajikistan

On July 21, IBA Group and Avesto Ghurukh presented results of their joint pilot project to Mr. Rustam Emomali, Mayor of Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The project is designed to create an automated fare collection (AFC) system in public transport of the city of Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. Based on the IBA Group’s Automated Fare Collection system, the solution is currently installed in 29 buses and 28 trolleybuses in Dushanbe.

MTBank Installs IBA Group’s Currency Exchange Terminal

One of the most efficient Eastern European banks has recently installed a currency exchange terminal produced by IBA Group. The currency exchange terminal has a banknote dispenser and a coin hopper, enabling the users to exchange US dollars, euros, and local currency in a self-service mode. Earlier the largest local savings bank and airport installed IBA-developed currency exchange terminals.

IBA Group Unveils New Office in Prague

On September 14, IBA Group announced the opening of its new premises in Prague, Czech Republic. The premises are intended for IBA CZ, the Czech-based development center of IBA Group. The same day, IBA CZ marked its 18th anniversary. Sergei Levteev, IBA Group Chairman and Aleš Hojka, Managing Director of IBA CZ cut the ribbon to inaugurate the opening. According to Mr. Levteev, IBA Group applies the Agile methodology when building its infrastructure. With high-tech teleconferencing facilities, meeting rooms equipped with smart walls, phone boxes for private phone calls, a relaxation zone, a fully equipped kitchen, and a parking garage, the new office provides a spacious and comfortable environment for the growing IBA CZ team.

IBA Group Introduces Contactless Payments by Bankcards in Eastern Europe

On September 19, IBA Group in cooperation with Visa Inc. participated in a press conference devoted to the launch of contactless payments in Eastern European city Metro. Citizens and visitors can now use Visa payWave cards to pay for their Metro journeys.
