IBA Group has been taking part in the contest since 2008 and was selected a winner in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2014, 2012, and 2011.  The award-winning categories were Big Data, IoT or Analytics Solution of the Year (2019), Software Innovation Solution of the Year (2018), Information & Document Management (2012 and 2017), Vertical Solution of the Year (2015), ERP/Supply Chain Management (2014), and Relationship Management (2011).

In 2018, the winning ML-powered solution for a leading South African bank allowed for automating fraud detection processes and preventing fraud in real time.

Last year, IBA Group submitted a solution built on the newest SAP’s Profitability and Performance Management technology for a telecommunications company Tele2. The solution allowed for optimizing profitability and implementing new cost management models, providing task prioritization and data visualization with various levels of detail and reporting. A distinctive feature of the solution was its customer centricity.

This year, the company submitted a SAP S/4HANA solution that automated major business processes at the Georgian Railway. The state-owned Georgian Railway is the biggest employer in the country with more than 12 thousand employees. It manages and maintains the rail infrastructure, as well as domestic and transit operations of passenger and freight services.

The Georgian Railway became the first company in the CIS that introduced the innovative SAP solution. However, the emerged challenges required significant improvements. The solution developed by IBA Group addressed the problems, re-integrated all existing systems on one platform, relaunched the system and restarted the operation. The customer saved the investments and received an effective tool that helps them increase operating profit, reduce stock reserve, cut down financial and maintenance costs, and boost efficiency. In their review, the customer mentioned the expertise of IBA Group’s employees, their strive to achieve the best results possible, which led to the success of the project.

Now in their 12th year, the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2020 attracted more than 500 entries from across the region. A total of 96 solution provider entries, 35 application developer/ ISV projects, and 73 suppliers from 27 countries have made the finals. The winners will be announced at the European IT & Software Excellence 2020 Awards Dinner in London, on March 19, 2020.

John Garratt, Editor of IT Europa, who heads the judges’ panel says: “I have been particularly impressed again by the level of innovation shown in many of the projects. This shows that there has been some original thinking by IT providers of all types as to how to really engage with customers’ issues and this must be a good thing at a time of increasing change and uncertainty. The battle for more productive use of technology is well understood, new methods and integration levels are certainly emerging.”
