IBA Implements Large–Scale IT Project at Belarusian Railway

Igor Lapinsky, first deputy editor–in–chief of Russian weekly PCWeek/Russian Edition visited Minsk to familiarize himself with one of the projects implemented by IBA at the Belarusian Railway.

Published since 1995, PC Week/RE is one of the most respected Russian computer periodicals with circulation of more than 35 000 copies. Corporate sector is the magazine’s main audience, including both state institutions and private companies.

Following Mr.Lapinsky’s visit, PCWeek/RE #05/2007 published the article “The time has come for Belarusian Railway to update its key technologies”. The article focuses on the mainframe project designed to automate key business processes of the Belarusian Railway. Special emphasis is placed on IBA pivotal role in the project and on cooperation between IBA and Belarusian Railway specialists.
